North Cumberland
Overland.
Follow official mountain trails into East Tennessee, make camp, and wake up surrounded by ridges.
Why go
Give the pavement a day off.
Roughly 205,000 acres and official GPX maps give you room to build a real mountain escape.
Make the trip count
TWRA publishes current trail files in GPX and KML formats.
Jeeps, trucks, and other vehicles need the North Cumberland OHV permit on trails.
Public-use rules change during hunting seasons. Read them before leaving.
Camping is allowed area-wide unless a location is closed or posted otherwise.
